It’s the name of the game

What is one thing people don’t have, but they cannot live without?

What do we all need to practice more of, but we will never have enough of?

I don’t know about you but this is something I struggle with daily, especially in my business. But at the same time there are other things that I can deal with a lot better.

Take my little girl for example.

I think because I know that she is new to this world. That she doesn’t have all the ins and outs under control. She is still learning everything. I think that’s where I give her the benefit of the doubt.

But when it comes to adults acting the same way a child does. That’s where I draw the line. I mean come on man. You should know better, why the hell you acting like this.

If you don’t know by now I am talking about Patience.

I mean we all have patience of things we don’t really want or care about. But when it comes to our own shit. We want it now!!!

We forget that it takes time to build something. That it takes time to understand a concept, especially if it is a brand new concept.

We take for granted that just because we know something, we feel that everyone else should know it. Or act the way we do, and so on.

We expect, and when those expectations aren’t met, even if we know they could have never been met. We fly off the handle and feel like the world is against us.

I am here to tell you to work every-damn-day on cultivating patience in your life. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it, and you will find more joy in your life.

By working to learn patience what you will end up doing is putting yourself in situations that will have you strengthening that muscle.

I’m saying that you need to seek out — not shy away from — problems in your life that test your patience. You NEED to go head strong at them. Because that is what will make you learn, and grow.

If you think that by living a life of complacency is the way to joy and happiness. You have another thing coming.

You need to test yourself everyday, multiples times a day. Repetition, repetition, repetition. That is the name of the game.
